The word casino really means house. It comes from the Italian word casa, which means house. But when did people start to gamble? History states that the Chinese people were the ones to start to gamble. I am not sure that this is correct but somewhere I have read that these people gambled as early as several thousand years before Christ was born. That I find amazing. I am not sure that they played Black Jack with a deck of cards. I think maybe they threw dices or something like that.

Some people also think that even Napoleon in France was very interested in gambling. I have read that he was particularly interested in the game we nowadays call Black Jack. Earlier the game was called twenty-one. But I do not think they had casinos in those days. They indeed did not have Internet Casinos anyhow. We are very lucky to day to have the opportunity to sit at home and play Black Jack at a Casino. There are some cities in the world that have casinos, but you must for sure travel far. And that I find very expensive although it is an amazing experience to be able to visit a real casino.
